The Clinic" Saint-Augustin", situated in the district" Belvedere"
of Tunis, was inaugurated on January 19 th 1933, first private clinic
in Tunisia.
It is ownership of the Bishopric (Prélature) of Tunis, having been founded
then upon initiative of the Carthage's Archbishop, who declared, on
the occasion of the opening ceremony": The Clinic will be a house open
to everybody, without distinction of race, nationality or religious
confession. All the sick will be welcome" .
In the " Dépêche Tunisienne" of 20 th January 1933 it could be read":
The founders have wanted that the Clinic profit of all the improvements
of the science; therefore, they have sought all over the world the models
of architecture and installation that are found now in the new building."
These are the two essential components of our professionalism:
